About Me
Jesse A.
Wingate
I
grew up not far from Burlington in a small village tucked beneath the
shadow of Jay Peak. I graduated from St. Lawrence University in 2007
with a B.S. in Psychology and minor concentration in Religious Studies
and later completed requirements for an M.Ed in Higher Education
&
Student Affairs Administration at the University of Vermont. Currently,
I am employed as a Career Counselor/Advisor and assist undergraduate
students and alumnae/i in the life-long career development process.
This includes, but is not limited to résumé/cover letter construction
and revision, job search strategies, networking instruction,
major/minor exploration, life issues counseling, and long and
short-term goal development.
I have many hobbies and my interests are plentiful! When I am not working I enjoy reading, writing, exploring new places and things, watching old episodes of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, learning about Victor phonographs, partaking in deep philosophical and religious conversations, spending time with friends, fishing, hiking, driving, indoor-rock climbing, and running (to name a few). I am a little quirky; enjoy challenging cultural norms, and I march to the beat of my own drum.
I love new conversations and always appreciate a good email. Please do not spam me. Feel free to contact me by emailing jesse@onesojourner.com.
